B & L wide awake after a bath. It's a rare moment for them both to be so alert at the same time. (I'm sure that won't last for long!)
What is the reason for our hope?
While going through L&B's very premature birth experience, we knew God was using this time to teach us some lessons. We also know He gave us grace so that He could encourage others by the strength & hope He armed us with. As we ended the NICU journey (and started the real parenting journey), this verse really spoke to us:
"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have . . . " 1 Pet 3:15
So what we're trying to say is, our ultimate hope is in Christ, the author & perfecter of our faith (Heb 12:2). We believe that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, & the Life - He is the way to come to know God (John 14:6). Anything that happens to us in this life is temporary, be it good or bad. What really matters are the things that will impact our eternity. This experience has punctuated several years of God laying this question on our hearts: What will matter in 100 years from now?

Oh, soooooo cute! I love the monkey bathrobes from Aunt Beth! They are quite handsome little men. You are all four so blessed to have so much family to love them and support them as they grow!

OH NO!!!! I had already felt like I had abandoned you because of my travels and then you experience all this. I'll also be out the country when Chris is. Instead of hashish, I'll be studying the medicinal use of chocolate in Belgium. I'll definitely bring you some of the subject material. Tracy
